On September 2nd, we hosted our annual meeting virtually and welcomed more than 350 attendees from 15+ cities across 7 different time zones. It was a great opportunity to share the latest progress with iFly.vc and our portfolio companies, and we were honored to have Joe Lonsdale (co-founder of Palantir, Addepar, Formation 8, and 8VC; advisor and LP of iFly.vc) join us for a fireside chat.

In early 2012, Han joined Formation 8, co-founded by Joe, as the first hire on the investment team. At Formation 8, they collaborated on a number of investments such as Oculus and Wish. When Han launched iFly.vc in 2016, Joe continued to support Han by being both an advisor and LP investor. During the fireside chat, Joe and Han exchanged thoughts on the macro environment, opportunities during the unprecedented times, key attributes for the successful founders and start-ups. (Watch)
Portfolio Company Presentation with Weee!
Larry Liu, cofounder/CEO
Weee! is the largest and fastest-growing online Asian grocery shop in North America that targets the $60 billion of annual spend of Asian Americans. Based in the Bay Area, Weee! offers a broad selection of Asian groceries. With a minimum order value of $35, deliveries are free. Since iFly.vc led the round in December 2018, Weee! has expanded across the west coast and recently launched operations in parts of NY/NJ. This year, Weee! has become profitable and is cash flow positive with a 6x YoY growth. In July, Weee! closed the Series C round led by DST Global. (Watch)

Jeff Unze, President of Strategic Partnerships
BorderX Lab is a Silicon Valley based cross-border e-commerce platform that connects the ever-growing class from around the world with global top-tier retailers and brands. The company has displayed a 300x topline growth from 2015 to 2019 and recently has added partnerships with brands such as Michael Kors and Stuart Weitzman. (Watch)
Portfolio Company Presentation with Camp Six
Clement Gires, founder/CEO
Camp Six is the developer of autonomous cargo drones with a heavy payload and long flight range for deliveries to the remote communities. The team has successfully prototyped full-scale drones that carry up to 500 lbs of payload with 120+ successful test flights. Camp Six launched its first commercial pilot this quarter. Because Camp Six is in stealth mode, we will not be showing the company’s presentation. We are happy to discuss individually in private.
